More from the MET Museum Costume Exhibit

I drew these months ago but was so busy I didn't have time to scan them.  Two more drawings I'm adding to my collection of sketches I did when I went to see two costume exhibits this summer (one at the MET, the other at the Brooklyn Museum).  I felt really inspired by them.  I guess I love to draw clothing, especially old clothing.

Halloween Clay Board

This is the second of two Halloween clay board projects I've done this year.  This was done for a contest.  The rules were it had to be scary and it had to have orange in it.  Mine didn't win but I think this concept is so scary.

Standing

This was a pretty uninteresting pose but I decided to make the most of it and I think I did a pretty good drawing.  I took the opportunity to  test out my pastel skills.  It was a 3 hour pose (with breaks of course) so I can't blame her for wanting to stand as straight as possible.

Add Color

This may be as far as I take this piece.  I don't think it's quite finished, but I like where it's going.

Portrait

Here's the sketch for the last project I'm working on for my Illustration class.  It's a conceptual portrait of Cuban political leader Fidel Castro.  Color version to come...
